I had read James Bryner's 'Baja,' last year, and was left with a cliff-hanger ending wanting more. When reading this latest novel from a different time and place altogether, he did not disappoint and again left me wishing to know more about what will happen to the characters that I got so close to. I echo what others have said about his knack to really pull you into the characters world, and get emotionally involved with the story. I am eagerly awaiting the next installment in this story!

Fire apparatus enthusiasts raved about the first American LaFrance 700 Series Photo Archive. Now acclaimed American LaFrance author, Larry Phillips has compiled even more exquisite photographs along with company advertising materials to offer another look at this classic American fire truck. See superb, rare photographs that have never before been published, such as photos from the Larry Zotti Museum Collection of 700 Series rigs in various stages of production on the original Elmira, NY assembly lines. Also included are a number of never before published photographs of early 700 Series private industrial rigs from the Leo E. Duliba Collection. And don't miss the rare photographs of Grand Rapids, Michigan's tandem back-end 700 Series ladder truck. Fire apparatus enthusiasts will applaud this second in-depth look at the American LaFrance 700 Series.

Optimist Racing - A manual for sailors, parents & coaches Review

Optimist Racing - A manual for sailors, parents and coaches
Average Reviews:

This is book that is good for serious sailors and their coaches. It is thorough and probably the best overall racing guidebook for optimist sailing. It's well written but so stuffed with information that it's a book to read over and over again.
For a younger audience the "The WINNER'S GUIDE TO OPTIMIST SAILING" is better. That one is not quite as comprehensive but is also well written and with substatial information. It's a book the children could read on their own.
If these were only translated to finnish it would be perfect...

Mauch's Sailboat Guide, Vol. III Review

Mauch's Sailboat Guide, Vol. III
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Vol 3 of the 3 volume series. (Vol #1 is ISBN# 0-9642621-0-X,Vol #2 is ISBN# 0-9642621-1-8) To get complete information on anysingle manufacturer you need all 3 volumes. There is alot ofinformation missing (which could probably be gleaned from other brokers files in cooperative effort) but that said there is a lot here. Hopefully for ease of use these will be combined into one volume on any future reprints. Also I hope Ms. Mauch continues work on and expand these volumes to add additional manufacturers, models, and specific interior, exterior, sail plan, number of hulls built, and general quality of construction information for any future reprints (and I promise I'll buy and new edition). The other thing I think would fill a serious void is information on company history, specifically, who has gone out of business, been boughtout or merged. These are great books for recreational sailboat lovers and students of the genre, worth the price. END

One of perhaps 20 books published in the last 35 years that is considered a true modern classic for any sailing enthusiast. It is truly a book that should be in any comprehensive personal (or organizational) reference library. This extensive book features over 250 pages of detailed (yet practical) text, illustrations, photos, and diagrams.

Forages: The Science of Grassland Agriculture Review

Forages: The Science of Grassland Agriculture
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is the fifth edition of this book and it's far less political than the newer sixth edition. For that reason I highly recommend this edition over the other. Buy the first volume as well and also if you're into hay making Harvested Forages is a must with these two Forages volumes.
