Kevin Kubota was one of the first professional photographers to turn to digital photography. After being asked by other professionals about digital techniques he began Kubota Workshops (www.kubotaworkshops.com) and began teaching the Digital Photography Boot Camp where professional photographers would spend a week learning enough to make the transition to digital. This book is an on paper view of the workshop. It cannot, of course, replace the full week of hands on personally supervised workshop, but it can explain the overall concepts, it can provide a professional to professional view of the digital process and enable the professional photographer to take the expertise he already has to transition to digital.
The book covers all aspects digital photography, but for professionals. It doesn't go review all the cameras, it assumes that as a pro you'll have a digital SLR not a point and shoot. And of course the 'digital dark room' he uses is Photoshop. Again this is not a book on Photoshop, but it does show the pro what Photoshop can do to enhance your pictures.
By a pro, for a pro.
